I wanted to take this time to share an email I sent to Senator Manchin. I believe that the radio industry in West Virginia provides unique business development tools to our state’s job creators and businesses. The industry also provides countless jobs to people all across the state. – Thanks, Fred.
Dear Senator Manchin –
Not only is radio an important communications medium in West Virginia, providing news, emergency information and entertainment to countless state residents, it is also an important contributor to the state and local economies.
The radio industry employs thousands of West Virginians. During such difficult economic times, the contributions this industry makes should not be under appreciated. Moreover, as a former business owner, I recognize the benefit of radio in terms of advertising. Many businesses in our state rely on radio advertising to promote their companies and gain new customers. As a result, these companies are able to sustain their businesses and grow their customer bases. This is also good for our economy.
As our United States Senator, I hope you share my opinions regarding the importance of radio to West Virginia’s economy. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Fred Joseph
